Ewan Whillans Gears Up for an Exciting 2026 Season with Promising New Recruits

We’re delighted to see Foundation Course graduate, now racehorse trainer, Ewan Whillans, in the Racing Post news on Monday 24th November 2025.

Scottish-born Ewan graduated from the 12-week residential Foundation Course in 2002. Following a career as a jump jockey, riding 75 winners, Ewan focused on training in 2021 and now has 30+ horses in his care. To date, he has trained 90 winners, including a Grade 2 Hurdle race in April 2025, the Scottish Champion Hurdle. 

Following a successful start to 2025, Ewan has his sights set on a successful 2026, with many exciting new prospects recently joining his training establishment in the Scottish Borders.
