Support Services Assistant

The National Horseracing College seeks to employ a Support Services Assistant to join its enthusiastic, vibrant, and hardworking team.  As one of only two specialist horse racing colleges in the UK, this third sector provider delivers training for people in the racing industry.  Located in the scenic grounds of a private estate near Doncaster, it achieved Ofsted Grade 2 in 2016.

To be selected for this interesting, challenging role, you must have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills.  An NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification is essential, as is an IT Qualification in Microsoft packages, and relevant administrator experience in a fast-paced environment.    Knowledge and experience of project management, in a supporting capacity, and a working knowledge of Health and Safety are desirable.  Dynamism and determination to succeed are essential.

Days of work:  Monday – Friday (37-hours per week).  Some flexibility over hours may be required from time to time, to meet the needs of the business.

The package on offer includes a salary Circa £21K per annum, a contributory pension scheme, initial holiday entitlement of 25 days (+ Bank Hols), Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), and Life Assurance (2 x salary).

The selected applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
