14-16 Year Old Programme Graduate Jack Doughty Crowned All Weather Champion Apprentice

A fantastic achievement for 14-16 Year Old Programme graduate Jack Doughty, as he is crowned the 2024/25 All Weather Champion Apprentice.

Jack, 17, completed the 14-16 Year Old Programme in the workplace and is currently working towards completing the Level 2 Equine Groom (Racing) Apprenticeship. He was also granted his Apprentice Jockey Licence in November 2023 following an intensive two-week course at the National Horseracing College and is now based with Tony Carroll Racing in Worcestershire.
Achieving his first career winner on 22nd December 2023, Jack has accumulated 83 winners to date, with 23 of those being on the all-weather and securing him this title.

From the age of 12, Jack enjoyed the thrill of Pony Racing, even winning a few races with his own pony which he trained. Pony Racing is a fantastic way for young people to experience the thrill of racing and to understand racing etiquette.

Well done Jack, what a fantastic achievement to accomplish at this stage of your career.
