Have you successfully completed the Foundation Course? Or are you already employed in a racing yard?  If so, then you’re ready to commence the next step, the Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship (Racing).

ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
The Level 2 Equine Groom (Racing) Apprenticeship is a practical, work-based qualification for individuals employed 15 hours or more per week in a Licensed Racing Yard or *Point-to-Point Yard in England.

* Racing experience must be gained on a licensed racecourse; a Point-to-Point racecourse does not meet the qualification criteria.

The programme supports development in:

✔ Daily care, grooming and handling of racehorses
✔ Yard routines, tacking up and post-exercise care
✔ Horse health, welfare and fitness basics
✔ Preparing horses for training and racing
✔ Safe working practices and teamwork
