The NHC Calendar Competition

Be part of the team, help us create the first ever NHC Calendar for 2021.

From 1st to 31st October NHC is running a Calendar Competition to celebrate how well our horses work for us all year round and to raise funds for a few Christmas gifts for them.

Let’s see how creative you can be.  If you are aged 12-18, show us your original hand drawn pictures, your best artist impressions of our NHC horses.

Here’s how to take part:

On the NHC Instagram and facebook pages we regularly post pictures of our horses, including ‘Horse of the Week’. You can scroll through to see them, also check out our horse profiles https://www.thenhc.co.uk/about-us/horse-profiles/

Take your pick of your favourite, or several favourites and get creative!  Get your pens, pencils, paints, and charcoal out and create a wonderful piece of artwork of your favourite horse.

Be as creative as you like, make it funny, serious, interpretive, fine art, whatever you want.  Look for inspiration in other artists, our favourites are Shirley MacArthur and Norman Thelwell, plus many more.  Take a look at the full presentation with lots of ideas here Calendar Art Competition Presentation

Send us your pictures by direct message to National Horseracing College on Instagram or facebook or email to info@theNHC.co.uk by 31st October 2020.

There will be 12 Winners! Each will have their winning picture added to the NHC 2021 Calendar, sold in our shop at the college and online.

Winners will also be invited to take part in a VIP Visit to the NHC to meet the horses, watch them perform on the gallops and a tour of the college.

Let’s get creative!

If you would like to order some copies of the NHC 2021 Calendar when they are available please email info@theNHC.co.uk
