Craig Lidster has built a lifelong career in horseracing, beginning at just eleven years old riding out horses before joining the National Horseracing College at sixteen. He went on to work for respected names including Jeremy Glover, Sir Robert Ogden, Malcolm Jefferson, Brian Ellison and Richard Fahey. During this time he gained vast experience with top-class horses such as See More Business and Wootton Bassett, developing a reputation for breaking in and producing young horses, as well as handling more challenging types.
After years of success in leading racing yards, Craig launched his own training career in 2022 and has quickly established himself as one of the sport’s rising talents. A landmark 2024 season brought 35 winners, over £500,000 in prize money and major successes with stable star Alfa Kellenic, who won at York Racecourse and landed the Ayr Silver Cup in track-record time. Now based at Beverley House Stables in Malton, Craig continues to build an ambitious and progressive yard with the future firmly in sight.
