About Glen

Glen Norton, a former Doncaster Foyer resident, completed a Level 1 Diploma in Work Based Racehorse care at the National Horseracing College.

Glen had an interest in horses for 3 years prior to starting the course. His passion developed over the years and he took the opportunity to attend a Princes Trust Taster Course at National Horseracing College as an introduction to the 12 week residential Foundation Course.

During the 12 weeks Glen developed his existing skills and knowledge and also took on the responsibility of Student Representative. Glen supported junior students by sharing his knowledge and experience, acting as a mentor to those who are less confident.

Following completeion of the course Glen headed to Kevin Ryan’s yard in North Yorkshire for his  work placement.
